About the deal
Gynzy is a producer and publisher of educational software for primary schools. The company has two main products, a whiteboard (classroom) solution and individual software for children, which can be used in classrooms or at home.
Gynzy has been founded in 2007 and has obtained a market share of more than 60% in Dutch classrooms with its whiteboard software. In addition, the company has approximately 25% market share in individual teaching solutions.
Primary schools are (finally) transitioning towards the usage of digital teaching methods. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of individual learning software.
Klett, a large German based learning solutions provider, purchased a minority stake in Gynzy for two reasons. First, to get access to the software of Gynzy and second to help Gynzy in rolling out its software to other markets.
