About the deal
Investec acted as exclusive sell-side financial adviser to PayProp on its majority investment from Accel-KKR.
PayProp is an automated payment and reconciliation platform, specific to the lettings industry. It is both easier to use and more powerful than solutions offered by banks and traditional software vendors.
Investec has a longstanding advisory and lending relationship with PayProp and provided debt capital to enable further growth investment. We worked closely with the management team and shareholders to help position an attractive investment story and curate the ideal partner for the next phase of growth.
Investec’s extensive network, Private Equity knowledge and deep understanding of the business meant we were perfectly placed to complete this transaction on behalf of our client.
Completing this deal involved managing a complex multi-jurisdictional group restructure, the concurrent carve-out of a separate division within the group, and engagement across a diverse set of Institutional, Family Office and HNWI shareholders. We are delighted to have been able to secure a majority investment from Accel-KKR on behalf of all shareholders and the management team.
“Investec provided expert guidance throughout a complex transaction, and on behalf of all PayProp shareholders and management I am delighted with the outcome. Their experience, insight and tenacity has proven invaluable in bringing about a successful transaction, and I look forward to partnering with Accel-KKR for the next phase of our journey.” Johannes van Eeden, CEO & Founder
